Internet

The website of Asset | Econometrics is an important source of information for its members. Here the students can find information and pictures of our activities, study, old exams and information about the association. Also there is a special career part to inform students about their career opportunities. There are opportunities for companies to place their company profile, internships, vacancies, student work and business events. Events can be promoted via a banner on the entire website.

Direct Mailing
It is possible to inform students about interesting developments in your organization, like internships, vacancies or events by sending letters or e-mails to a particular group of students. It is possible to send a mailing to a particular group of students of only students Asset | Econometrics or the following five study associations for econometricians in the Netherlands, Econometrisch Dispuut (Rotterdam), Kraket (Amsterdam), Vectum (Maastricht), Vesting (Groningen) and Asset | Econometrics (Tilburg).

Association’s Magazine ‘Nekst’
Nekst, the magazine of Asset | Econometrics, is published full color on A4-sized paper four times a year and has a circulation of 750. In Nekst you can find reports of activities organized by Asset | Econometrics and information on current matters at Tilburg University, the association, and the study Econometrics & OR. The combination of reports of activities and -substantive contributions make Nekst unique in its kind and therefore enjoyable to read.

Organizations can place an advertisement in Nekst which is a good way of promotion. Also it is possible for organizations to provide a scientific article or an interview with an employee, preferably an econometrician, in your organization.

Annual Report / Book of Faces
At the end of each academic year Asset | Econometrics publishes an Annual Report. In this report the members of Asset | Econometrics can read about all the activities and happenings during the past academic year. Furthermore, the candidate board introduces itself and presents their policy for the coming academic year.

At the beginning of each academic year Asset | Econometrics publishes the ‘Book of Faces’. This book contains photographs, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and e-mail addresses of all members of Asset | Econometrics and lecturers of the department of Econometrics. The Book of Faces is an indispensable reference book for members of Asset | Econometrics and is used intensively during the year.

Both the Annual Report and the Book of Faces are published in full color and A5-size. For companies it is possible to place an advertisement in these matters.

Contact Opportunities

Asset In-house Days
During this event, which will last five or sex weeks, organized by the seven study associations linked to faculty association Asset all the in-house days for students linked to Tilburg School of Economics and Management will take place.

Course excursion/Guest lectures
Asset | Econometrics organizes in cooperation with lecturers of Tilburg University excursions and guest lectures linked to courses in the field of Econometrics.

Econometric Challenge Tilburg
The Econometric Challenge Tilburg is an event in which a business case is united with a competitive element which attracts enthusiastic and driven students and which will last a whole day. Two companies, one from the Finance field and on from the field of Operations Research, will get the opportunity to participate.

Finance Expedition
In cooperation with Asset | Accounting & Finance and Asset | FIRST International, Asset | Econometrics organizes a three day long trip and visits several companies specialized in for example asset management, corporate finance, mergers & acquisition and trading. The companies can select the participants via CV selection.

International Business Tour
Every year a group of 24 students will visit different companies and universities in one or more cities in a foreign country. With a presentation or a business case they will get acquainted with companies abroad.

Lecture Drink
Twice a year there is an opportunity for a company to give a lecture about an econometric subject during one of our drinks and to come in contact with our students in an informal way.

National Econometricians Day
A yearly returning event where Econometrics students from the six study associations for econometric students in the Netherlands can get familiar with several companies. Around 20 companies from different fields will visit this event and come in contact with the students in an interactive way.

Orientation Day
This day combines information about future career possibilities and information about the different study programs. Organized in cooperation with Faculty Association Asset.

Symposium
Every academic year, Asset | Econometrics organizes one symposium. During this symposium students can get acquainted with subject in Econometrics, and in particular with the practical application of the subjects in Econometrics.
