![]() The former logos of Asset | Econometrics Asset | Econometrics is founded under the name ‘Tilburgse Econometristen Vereniging’ on 15 March, 1979. In the first years of its existence there were four committees besides the board: the excursion committee, the lecture committee, the mentor committee and the activities committee. Also, the first magazine was published during the first years, which was called Cirkel.
During the following years Asset | Econometrics widened the range of its activities. The Cirkel was renamed to Tristichon in 1988 and was again renamed to Nekst in 1992, the magazine's current name.
In 1984, during the first lustrum of Asset | Econometrics, the first conference was organized. From 1987 until 2008 these conferences were organized within the ‘Wim Bogers Stichting’. From 2010 on, once a year a symposium is organized under the name Asset | Econometrics.
In the mid-nineties the contact with other associations grew. In 1999 the first Economic Business week Tilburg took place and on a national level the National Econometricians Day and a sports tournament are already organized for years.
In 2008 the economic study associations founded faculty association Asset. In this year the association's name changed from ‘Tilburgse Econometristen Vereniging’ into Asset | Econometrics and became part of faculty association Asset. The language also changed in 2008 from Dutch into English, caused by the changes in the curriculum of the study.
Asset | Econometrics hopes to continue developing itself as it has always done and sees a bright future with good services for students and a good cooperation with all involved parties. |
